Can benefits from this program be combined with funds from other programs?

The short answer is YES! When filling out the application, please list any other funding programs you are applying for or are currently receiving.

Can an applicant apply for more than one grant?

Yes, over time and subject to approval of the Vocational Grant Committee, additional grants may be available.

Is there a time limit for successful completion of the program?

These grants are intended to fund short-term educational programs.  A good fit would be a vocational program that would take up to 12 months.

Can this program be used to earn a 4- year college degree?

No, the program is intended for applicants who will earn certificates or credentials that will qualify them for higher-paying, skilled, better-paying jobs.

Are there any age restrictions for grant applicants?

Adults who are at least 18 years of age can apply

This program is not intended for graduating high school seniors.

How much money will be awarded?

First Step Vocational Grant Program makes grants of up to $3,000 for tuition and direct costs of a short-term course of study. 

Who is awarding the grants?

This program is a partnership between the First Step Grant Foundation, the Rotary Club of Southwest Eureka, and The Rotary Club of Canby, Oregon.
